Today's Green Tip: Manuka Honey

Manuka honey has great antiseptic qualities.

Try using it to clean and soothe minor cuts, burns and grazes without the need for harsh chemical creams.

Manuka Honey is a premium, mono-floral honey which is produced by bees that gather nectar from the flowers that grow on the Manuka bush, which is indigenous to New Zealand. Manuka honey contains more vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants than other types of honey.
Manuka Honey is significantly different than regular honey that you would normally find at your local supermarket. Only active Manuka Honey contains phytochemical compounds that are described as the Unique Manuka Factor (UMF). Unlike ordinary honey, Manuka Honey is also stable so there is no concern of it losing its potency.
Warning: Do not feed to children under 12 months old.
Diabetics: Clinical studies have shown that Manuka Honey is a better choice for diabetics than sugar. Manuka Honey has lower required insulin levels compared to other sugars and produces lower rises in blood sugar due to the fructose it contains.

Check out the great healing qualities and purchase your own from a retailer such as Honeymark!

Great information. I did not know honey could do all that.
I found you off of “I love my online friends Monday hop” from last week. I was hoping to play this week, but no party was thrown. I just became your newest follower. If you would like to return the favor I’m leaving a link to my blog below. I am looking for new friends to exchange comments with.
Cheers,
Shanae
