Plastic Eco-Diaper OOAK Bag - Review and Giveaway
My mom used to crochet.
My sister, Sarah, just began crocheting.
I know its hard and appreciate greatly those who can!
Not only do I know how tedious the technique can be, but also how many hours it truly can take to complete a project.
Now.... what I had NEVER heard of before, was the art of crocheting with materials other than yarn and string. Crocheting with plastic bags?! Crocheting with VHS tape!? WOW! Now that is ingenuity and skill!
Did you know that it takes a grocery bag more than 1,000 years to decompose in a landfill?
Instead of trashing those bags, what would you think if I told you that you could upcycle them into usable products?
I recently met Tina with Tina Dean Designs who has ventured into recycling plastic grocery bags and repurposing them into bags, purses, clutches and such! Brilliant!
Tina designed a custom one-of-a-kind diaper bag for Noah and I to use and review. I don't think that I have ever received as many positive comments on anything that I have ever owned than I did with this amazing bag!
The bag is absolutely perfect. It's stylish - doesn't crinkle like plastic bags do - and is spacious enough to hold all of Noah's things.
Tina is exceptionally talented, being able to even add a side pocket for Noah's cup and a tab to close the bag up!
With all of the amazing qualities that this bag entails, especially its eco-friendly "bones," I am simply impressed by the time and quality of the bag. Each bag that she makes is completely handmade, hand crocheted and hand stitched. Starting from the initial collection of bags to upcycle, they are cut, tied and then crocheted into these amazing one-of-a-kind bags.
You definitely won't see two of the same of these walking down the street - You will truly be unique!
