Terracycle - Sell your Trash? - Giveaway

What if I told you that I found an amazing company that would?

Terracycle pays schools, families, and communities to collect non-recyclable waste, which is then upcycled or repurposed to make fun, eco-friendly products like shower curtains, potted plants, and soon, baby bibs and diaper bags!  Amazing!

You can send Terracycle your trash - they pay the shipping - donate to charity - and upcycle the trash into cool reusable items!

A Free Fundraiser that YOU can participate in:

* 2 Cents to Charity

           This program pays 2 cents to charity for every used piece of diaper packaging (but not 

           the dirty diapers, please!) or baby food pouch a participant returns.  The programs are 

           funded by Huggies and Sprout organic baby food respectively, but both accept 

           packaging regardless of brand.  

Now, of course, this really doesn't impact those of you who cloth diaper and make homemade baby food - Kudos! You are already changing the world.

The collected diaper packaging and baby food pouches will be turned into products for new mothers and their babies, like bibs and diaper bags, but first we need help collecting enough material.  

Terracyle is trying to recruit daycare centers and young families nationwide to sign up, get involved, and start collecting.  It is an easy way to make a difference globally and locally all while reducing your household waste.  Interested parties can find more information or sign up for free at www.terracycle.net

Their website is full of informative brochures and information to educate the public about waste and its effect on the environment.  Teachers - they even provide a curriculum series!

THE GIVEAWAY

To increase awareness of their upcycled line of products, Terracycle has kindly offered 5 items to go to 5 WINNERS!

The items up for grab are:

• A pencil case made from juice pouches
• A lunch box from juice pouches
• A drink coaster made from circuit boards
• A picture frame made form circuit board

The items will be randomly sent to the winners by Terracycle.
