About Metalmorphis .... In her Own Words:

I've been a jewelry artist for the last 18 years. Until recently, my jewelry was made mostly from sterling silver, swarovski crystal, natural stone and pearls.

Within the last year and a half my jewelry has evolved into including Precious Metal Clay or PMC. PMC is made from recycled silver, an organic binder and water. Once fired in a kiln, PMC becomes .999 fine silver(PMC is more pure than sterling sliver which is .925 silver). I absolutely love working with PMC because the possibilities are endless!

About 13 years ago, I took a couple semesters of metalsmithing. During that time, PMC was just introduced into the U.S. and I did "play" with it a little. I have to admit that I did not get serious about PMC until I got the chance to take a level one certification class with Irina Miech. Since then, I've also taken levels two and three with Irina. I also had the privilege of being certified in the Rio Grande PMC program by famous author and metalsmith, Tim McCreight. Most recently, I traveled to Atlanta, GA to take classes with Lisa Barth, a senior Art Clay instructor, who really gave me the tools to take my metal clay creations to a whole new level! I'm a member of the PMC Guild and I'm continually striving to learn new techniques and educate myself further in working with this wonderful medium!
