Happy Easter!!
We had a great Easter - Noah's 1st!
On Friday, we attended church services with my Mom. Interestingly enough, and if we have our dates right, this year was one of the few years in which the Jewish Passover is celebrated on the same week that we celebrate Easter. Based on the Jewish Calendar, Friday would have been, historically, the Resurrection of Christ. I loved that we went to church on that day.
On Saturday, we colored Easter eggs. A quick side story. I am pretty adamant in buying Cage Free Organic eggs. I bought two dozen eggs - some for coloring and some for Sunday. I was far from thinking about the color of the eggs! Brown? Really Melanie? Needless to say - and you can see from the picture - that blue definitely sets onto brown eggs the best! LOL!
Today we began the day with a 5:15 a.m. wake up call from Noah! Wow....I'm really over that already.
I made a delicious fruit salad that I will post the recipe to - tomorrow. I also made a sausage, egg and cheese croissant casserole and a vegetarian egg and veggie casserole.
We spent the late morning and early afternoon with Melanie's family - Leslie, Angela and Mom, along with Leslie's friend, Brandi.
Afterwards, we trekked over to Fort Worth to spend the rest of the day with the Melugin family - Kay, Philip, Lena, Cate, Jared and Patrick.
What a great day to celebrate Noah's 1st Easter!
