Nellie’s All Natural Oxygen Brightener Review and EcoMom.com Giveaway

With kids, as many of you know, it is impossible to keep new clothes looking new.

Between food and well…..just life, those whites turn pearl colored and the colors seem about 5 shades off from where they started! It is just quite depressing.

I was blessed enough to have Jody with Ecomom.com send me Nellie’s All Natural Oxygen Brightener to review.

First I must say how adorable the packaging of the product is! It is a small vintage looking tin – I will definitely be repurposing the tin as soon as the product is gone! Why do they use metal packaging? Because iron and steel are the world’s most recycled materials and amongst the most to reprocess!

A natural oxygen brightener, not bleach, I was optimistic. It is a grainy white powder, not a liquid. Why? Liquid detergents are made up from at least 50% water – What a waste of water!

Although I did not see an immediate brightening of my clothes in the initial wash, I must say that after using the product a couple times with the same clothes, I did see a slight change in the color. (Note: I did not waste water to review this product…I waited until those same clothes had been worn again).

For a natural product, I was impressed with the effectiveness as a brightening alternative to conventional methods such as bleach or detergents riddled with chemicals. Nellie’s All-Natural Oxygen Brightener is color safe, chlorine free, hypoallergenic, biodegradable, septic safe, eco-friendly and removes stains and odors!
