About the Artisan

In 1981 I woke up from a dream with my Great Grandmother standing at the end of my bed. She was wearing a Babushka, apron and her black shoes as I remembered from my childhood. In this awake dream she spoke to me and said "Pick up a needle and thread, you will find your Hidden Talent, you have not yet discovered. From there my life started on a new path of change. I continued to have dreams but within each dream a picture would appear of a doll that I was to make. I would wake up and have to free cut out the pattern and design the clothing, always feeling her presence around me. She continues to help me with my designs even though she passed away when I was 8 years old. The quilts are designed from a pile of fabric that magically comes together as a quilt. Again I feel the need to be a traditionalist and hand applique and hand quilt my quilts. I hope you take the time to enjoy my designs, at the same time imagine where they can be in your home.

My life mission is to have as many of my inspirational design and finished items in many homes all over the world, so when I look down from the heavens above I will be able to hear the stories continued.

About the Pillow...

An original design by Mona Rae completely hand quilted and stuffed with high quality filling. The size of the pillow is 9" x 14", it would look lovely displayed on a bench, chair or couch.
