About the Artisan .... in his own words ....

House of Smash is the brainchild of "green" artist Nix Johnson. He doesn't fit into any typical molds, so why should his company?

Tired of working for the man, Nix turned hard luck into creativity, and founded this company in Dallas, Texas in 2009 as an outlet for his art. Can you really call it a company though when your office is wherever you want it to be, and you work whenever you want? House of Smash is more like a way of thinking than it is a company. Though House of Smash is rooted in Dallas, Nix has made it so that there are no limitations on its reach. Founded locally, selling globally.

To date, lines from House of Smash include "LUCY by House of Smash" and "NIX by House of Smash", which are both lines of hand-made bracelets and cuffs, crafted from recycled records into unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. Hand-made by who? Every piece is hand-made by Nix Johnson, no machines necessary, just creativity.

And what makes Nix a "green" artist you ask? As with most of his projects, Nix creations come from materials that would otherwise be discarded, or he uses new materials that have a minimal impact on the environment.

Look for more lines to come from the House of Smash brand in the future, as it aims to be a leading brand of what's cool and hip. Coming in the future to the myspace page are features on local artists and business owners that consider themselves House of Smash worthy.
