Thermos Foogoo Review and Giveaway
As many of my loyal followers already know, stainless steel and glass are FAR better than plastic.
Does that mean that you need to rid your home completely of plastic, why no, but every cup replaced is a better choice, right?
I must confess that Noah has primarily all plastic cups ~ and there are two main reasons for that:
1) Easier to find in the stores
2) Cost
Well, I recently had the great opportunity to partner with Thermos and try their Foogo Stainless Steel straw bottle.
The Foogo is actually has quite an ingenious design concept, as it is a transitional cup with interchanging pieces to reflect the age and development level of your child.
I was very excited to try this cup, as I've had lots of friends try them and love them, and I felt as if I was off the bandwagon!
Noah came home from daycare (since he's there now while I'm on loose bedrest) and I was able to surprise him at dinnertime with his new cup. Oh! His face was priceless. He was so excited!
Of course, his using the cup was the true test of its effectiveness in the "real world" and not just the claims it made.
* For an 20 month old, its easy to grip and he loved the snap closure lid
* The design is adorable
* While it was closed, or in a full upright position, there was no leaking. Unfortunately, he still tips his straw cups back and when he did this, the cup did leak. Granted, it did not leak through the lid closure, but rather through the air hole that is provided above the straw for ventilation.
* Of course, a huge plus is the stainless steel manufacturing, making this product BPA free
* Vacuum Insulated for optimal cold retention
* Although it is "dishwasher safe" - once you read the instructions, it does recommend hand washing the cup for optimal use.
Outside of the leaking, I really enjoyed this product and know that you will too!
