Do you want a way to reduce your carbon footprint, keep your kiddos clean and be cute doing it? Buying wet wipes not only wastes plastic, but imagine how many wet wipes and containers are filling our landfills!

I’ve recently started cloth diapering and when I heard about the concept of using cloth wipes over the standard wet wipes, I was intrigued. I reached out to The Mommy Shop and she agreed to allow me to use some of her wipes and review them.

When I received the wipes, they were wrapped so cute, with a little ribbon and a great little thank you card. The wipes are much more simple than I was expecting, but well sewn and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised when I used them.

I was given a monkey print and a polka dotted print (too cute!) to review and I tested these wipes in two different ways.

First, we used them as cleanup cloths. Upon finishing dinner, I wet a cloth and used them to clean Noah’s cereal laden hands. The cereal came right off without smearing it worse than it was or leaving residue behind. He also liked the print so that helped cleanup time!

Secondly, we used the cloths as Wet Wipes. I created my own wipes solution with 2 cups of warm water, 1/8 c. baby oil and 1/8 c. lavender baby shampoo and let the cloths soak.

When we had a dirty diaper, I removed the diaper and used an infused cloth to wipe his bottom. I must say that I LOVED the way that it so easily smoothed across his skin while removing the remnants of lunch. I think he liked it too, because he giggled when I was cleaning him up!

These wipes were GREAT and I really do think that I am going to switch from the standard wipes to these!
